Mills Attends DRI’s Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium

In 2013, DRI’s Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium was held in New York City, on December 11 – 13, 2013.  Mike Mills from Mills & Associates attended the conference.  The presenters addressed many important and timely topics including defense cost recoupment, firearm coverage issues, Choice of Law, Superstorm Sandy catastrophic losses and Construction Defect coverage.  As is always, the presenters were well prepared and insightful.  A most helpful session dealt with “How to Try a Coverage Case”.  The Presenters discussed joint defense challenges, insurance companies as jury targets, use of terminology, experts and the challenges of presenting insurance company witnesses.  The DRI Insurance Committee’s next seminar will be the Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute is set for April 2014 in Chicago.  Mike Mills has been on the planning committee for that event and is looking forward even more in-depth participation in that conference.  He’ll look forward to seeing many of you there.
